Spring Fly-Fishing is in full swing with 14-20 inch Rainbows and Brown Trout being caught right now on the Lower and Middle Provo River. Midges, Blue-Wing Olives and Sow Bugs are working well.
The middle provo and lower provo have been fishing good this spring, with buffalo midges and blue wing olives hatching Mid-Day. Do not let the snow and rain keep you from enjoying spring fly-fishing those days can be some of the best fishing.
In the last week the Blue Wing Olives have started to come out on the Provo Rivers. Are Guides have been using 20-22 gray and olive dry fly pattens along with Midge nymph patterns. The Provo Rivers are located 35 min from Park City and 40 min from Salt Lake City.
This picture was taken yesterday March 3rd by one of are Guides on the Lower Provo River 35 Minutes form Park City. Midges hatched about 12:00pm and ended about 1:30pm. Fishing was fantasic during this time using small Midge patterns, Sizes 20-22 red, green and black nymphs.
The Lower and middle Provo are fishing good right now with Buffalo Midges coming off. Red, green and black nymph patterns work well. Sizes 20-22.
The Lower Provo, Weber and Middle Provo River are all fishing good right now. The flows on the Lower Provo are 640 CFS Middle, Provo 650 CFS and the Weber River is at 300-500 CFS depending on where your at. Flies to use Pmd Nymphs, Small Midges, and Sow Bugs.
