Provo River Report

Lower Provo is continuing to fish good.  Caddis have started to hatch in the evening, while  PMDS are still out in the afternoon. Sizes 18-22 are recommended.

The Caddis on the Middle Provo are hatching at dark and early morning. Elk Hair and parachuet caddis are a good Fly to use. Fishing small Midges and Pale Morning Dun nymphs early morning are still working well.

Lower provo River is Fishing Fantastic right now. 18-22 PMD nymphs. ranging in colors brown,olive, and yellow. Dry Fly action is good in late afternoon to early evening.

The Lower Provo and middle Provo are fishing good right now. small Midges in the morning and Pale morning Duns in the afternoon are working well on the middle provo. Pale morning Duns are hatching right now in the afternoon on the lower Provo river with good dry fly fishing  and great nymph fishing. Use size 18-26 midge patterns for the middle provo ranging in colors. 18-22 PMD’s in the afternoon.

Lower Provo River continues to fish good in the afternoon. PMDS are out in full force, along with Caddis starting to show up. nymphing is your best option right now with the water levels being so high. The Middle Provo is fishing best in the early morning. Nymphing with small midge patterns, Sow Bug, and PMD nymphs. Green Drakes are starting to show up low and the middle section towards Deer Creek Reservoir.

Lower Provo River 06-11-18

Lower provo River fished well in the afternoon. With PMDS, Stoneflies and some Caddis out on the water. Size 18-20 PMD nymphs, light green and yellow in color work well. Robert the Guide Pump the stomach of a couple of fish they had a-lot of case Caddis in them. Caddis hatch should be good this year. The Lower Provo is just 35 Minutes away from Park City, Utah.
